KAYA FROM KATE CHAMPION

Our 2024 Season is a fascinating array of different ways to see the world through the lives of others.

Sit poolside and listen in to the real-life concerns of the strangers nearby.Ā Visit a suburban home where footy is its beating heart and foggy head. Hear about the decadesā€Øof trailblazing actions of Americaā€™s most famous female Supreme Court judge. Witness a defence lawyer have the tables turned when she becomes the victim in a trial. Observe three nuclear physicists tackle the fallout from both their professional and personal pasts. And travel with a daughter and her father to understand the generational effects of war and its invisible wounds.

Unlike film and television, theatre gives us a ringside seat at the living pulse of humanity.

Each of these stories and every one of these characters have a unique reality toā€Øshare with you - up closeā€Øand personal, intriguing and insightful.

Alongside our main season, Pickle Jam is a new and exciting addition to our commitment to local stories and the development of WA writers. Each responding to a piece of existing text, we have commissioned eight fresh takes on the gems of great writing to find the seeds of our future plays.

I encourage you to take the plunge and dive into our theatrical riches on offer in 2024.
