Black Swan State Theatre Company of Western Australia acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live.

First Nations People have been telling stories on this country for many thousands of years, and we acknowledge their incredible contribution to the cultural and environmental landscape we reside in.

REGIONAL AMBASSADORS

In 2011, Black Swan established the Regional Ambassador Program to facilitate greater collaboration and strengthen connections with regional communities across Western Australia. This network of ambassadors is diverse and skilled in a variety of areas, with a mix of local voices and community or government employees to obtain a range of experience.

Our Regional Ambassadors are responsible for representing Black Swan by passing on production information, talking about upcoming events and encouraging their community to purchase tickets to productions when we are touring or broadcasting live theatre in their town.

Current Regional Ambassadors:

Albany - Jon Doust
Broome - Mary Jarzabek
Busselton - Terry Thompson and Russell Chandler
Carnarvon - Sabrina Dowling Giudici and Kim Whitehall-Holla
Esperance - Victoria Brown
Geraldton - Victoria Coyne and Neil Gregson

We hope that by giving regional theatre enthusiasts the opportunity to connect with their State Theatre Company, they will gain the confidence to network and engage with the arts on a much deeper level, continue an appreciation for theatre and forge lasting connections between Black Swan and their regional community.
