Jonathan Biggins stars in this appropriately acerbic and always compelling portrait of Paul Keating, one of Australia’s most charismatic leaders. Showcasing the former Prime Minister’s eviscerating wit, rich rhetoric, and ego the size of Everest, Biggins distils Keating into one hilarious and evocative night of theatre — the visionary, reformer, rabble-rouser, and Bankstown boy who quickly realised that to get things done in political life, it’s better to be needed than loved.
