An early Christmas present from Sally-Anne Upton

Written by Black Swan State Theatre Company 20 October 2025 2 min

For some it may be a bit too early to crack out the Christmas decorations, but here at Black Swan we are truly getting wrapped up in the festive spirit as Carol started rehearsals this week.

Starring the beloved Sally-Anne Upton (Neighbours, Wentworth), this brand-new work by WA playwright Andrea Gibbs – the brilliant mind behind Barracking for the Umpire – is making its world premiere at the Heath Ledger Theatre next month.

As an early gift to you, check out the video above to hear from Sally-Anne as she chats about what you can expect from this absolute cracker of a play!

Carol is showing at the Heath Ledger Theatre from 22 November – 14 December.
