Owen Hasluck cast in Blue

We have an exciting casting announcement to share with you! Owen Hasluck has been cast in the lead role of 'Mark' in our production of Blue by Thomas Weatherall.

Owen, a proud Whadjuk Noongar man, is a NIDA Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate (Acting, 2023), who also graduated from WAAPA's Diploma of Acting (2020) and Aboriginal Performance Course (2018). During his time at both NIDA and WAAPA, Owen performed in multiple productions before going on to make his mainstage debut in 2024 with Yirra Yaakin's production of Songbird, followed by Operation Boomerang later that year.

We can't wait for Owen to join the Black Swan family and work with Blue Director Ian Wilkes (Barracking for the Umpire) to bring Thomas Weatherall's powerful one-man show to life.

Blue will show at Studio Underground from 23 May – 8 June.
